Mindanao has recently been hit by severe floods and landslides due to torrential rain, resulting in tragic loss of life. Six people have been reported dead, with one person still missing.

The southern and eastern parts of Mindanao were particularly affected, with massive floods following three days of relentless rain brought on by a low-pressure area.
In Zamboanga City, the situation was so severe that rescuers had to use rubber boats to evacuate residents from neck-deep flooding. The city hall was also preemptively evacuated as the river overflowed.
