MANILA — The May 2023 Certified Public Accountant (CPA) board exam results, including the official list of passers, topnotchers (top 10), top performing schools and performance of schools, are released online, midnight of May 30, 2023 or within five (5) working days after the last day of exam.

Known to be one of the most comprehensive exam in the country, 2,239 out of 7,376 (30.36%) successfully passed the exams.

Mr. Alexander Salvador Centino Bandiola Jr. from the University of the Cordilleras topped the licensure exam with an 89.50 percent rating.

Moreover, the University of the Philippines Diliman led the top schools, achieving a passing rate of 93.22 percent.

According to REO Online CPA Review Center, 1,490 out of 2,239 (66.55%) new CPAs are reviewed by REO.

In addition, they produced 15 topnotchers in the recent board exam including Mr. Bandiola who proclaimed that REO was his first choice review center.

“Isang taos pusong pasasalamat sa REO at NCPAR-REO Baguio team! Pinagtibay nila hindi lang ang natutunan ko kundi pati ang loob ko na harapin ang board exam,” said Bandiola.

In line with this, the licensure examination really needs more time and effort with all the vast information needed by the examinee to grasp. History of the passing rate of the CPALE has shown with a performance of gradually becoming low from 2016 (May, 42.84%) up until 2019 (October, 14.32%).

Fortunately, the recent CPALE results hailed higher rate of passers than the previous years.

The CPALE was conducted on May 21-23, 2023, in testing centers in NCR, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Palawan, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga by the Board of Accountancy headed by its Chairman, Noe G. Quiñanola, Vice-Chairman, Samuel B. Padilla, and its members, Gloria T. Baysa, Thelma S. Ciudadano, Gervacio I. Piator and Maria Teresita Z. Dimaculangan.
