Plot:
One year after accidentally hitting a fisherman with their car and disposing of his body in the water, four friends, including Julie (played by Jennifer Love Hewitt), reunite when she receives a chilling letter suggesting their crime has been witnessed.
In their pursuit of the person behind the letter, Barry (portrayed by Ryan Phillippe) is struck by a man wielding a meat hook. The violence escalates as the hook-wielding killer begins stalking Julie, Helen (played by Sarah Michelle Gellar), and Ray (portrayed by Freddie Prinze Jr.), leading to a series of gruesome events.
