Ingredients:

  • 8 oz (225g) of your favorite pasta (such as fettuccine, spaghetti, or penne)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup (240ml) heavy cream
  • 1 cup (100g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta, reserving about 1/2 cup (120ml) of the pasta cooking water. Set aside.
  2. Prepare the Sauce: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  3. Make the Cream Sauce: Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a simmer. Let it cook for about 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce slightly thickens.
  4. Add Parmesan Cheese: Reduce the heat to low. Gradually sprinkle in the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring constantly, until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy. If the sauce is too thick, you can add some of the reserved pasta cooking water to thin it out to your desired consistency.
  5. Season and Combine: Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until well coated in the creamy garlic Parmesan sauce.
  6. Serve: Transfer the creamy garlic Parmesan pasta to serving plates or bowls. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired. Serve immediately, and enjoy
